What Claimwise does

Claimwise is the pocket workbench for the US homeowner who is filing — or pre-staging — a property insurance claim, and who has decided not to hand 33% of the settlement to a public adjuster.

The 2026 hurricane, wildfire, hail, and water-damage seasons have already made one thing clear: insurance carriers cannot scale adjusters fast enough. Settlements take 60-180 days. Claimants who walk in with documented inventory, photographed damage, an itemized loss list, and a paper trail of calls get paid faster and more accurately than claimants who don't.

Claimwise gives the homeowner the same workbench an adjuster uses — without an account, without a subscription, and without uploading a single photo to a third party.

What ships in v1:

— Pre-disaster home inventory: room by room, item by item, with photos, brand, model, serial, year purchased, and estimated replacement value. Built-in template prompts for kitchen, bedroom, living room, garage, exterior — the categories that show up on every Coverage C contents form. — Damage vault: after a covered event, photograph each piece of damage. Tag the room, the cause (wind, water, fire, theft), the date of loss, and an estimated cost to repair or replace. — Policy register: enter your carrier, policy number, deductible, Coverage A/B/C/D limits, and renewal date. Claimwise warns you if you're underinsured against a reasonable replacement-cost estimate. — Claim diary: every phone call, every email, every text with the adjuster — logged with date, time, the name of the person, and what was said. The paper trail that wins disputes. — Loss summary export: a one-page PDF you hand the adjuster on day one, summarizing the loss, the damage list, the policy, and the inventory totals. — ALE tracker: Additional Living Expenses (hotel, meals, gas) tracked against your Coverage D limit so you don't accidentally exceed it. — Glossary: 40+ insurance terms (RCV vs. ACV, depreciation, supplements, scope, betterment, subrogation) in plain language. — Privacy by default: no account, no analytics, no cloud, no carrier integration, no third-party SDK. Photos, policy data, and claim notes never leave your device. — Completely free: no IAPs, no "Pro," no unlock.

Claimwise is for the homeowner whose roof just got hit, the landlord who needs to rebuild a unit, the apartment renter filing a contents claim, and for everyone who knows the next event is one wind shift away and wants to be ready.

Claimwise is not an insurance company, an adjuster, or a law firm. It is documentation software.

Why we built it

A typical US property insurance claim takes 60-180 days to settle. Carriers underpay by 20-40% on average when the claimant has no documentation. Public adjusters take 10-33% of the settlement on contingency. There is no calm, free, on-device app for the homeowner who wants to keep 100% of the settlement and do the do…

What makes it different

Claimwise is the only iOS app that combines (a) a structured pre-disaster home inventory, (b) a damage vault keyed to date-of-loss, (c) a policy register that flags underinsurance, (d) a date-stamped claim diary, AND (e) a PDF loss-summary export — without an account, a cloud sync, or any carrier dependency. Public ad…

Who it's for

Freelancers, contractors, and small-business owners who want their numbers right at tax time without renting a SaaS to do it.

In one line: Document. Inventory. Claim — without an attorney.
