Sleep coach that refuses to score you.
Every feature, from the first launch.
No account, no login, no cloud. Everything runs on your device and works fully offline — nothing in this post is hidden behind a wall.
What Quietsleep does
Quietsleep is the only sleep app that doesn't track, score, or rank your sleep. Because new research (Frontiers in Digital Health, 2026) found that for people with insomnia, the tracking IS the problem — obsessing over sleep data makes sleep worse.
Instead, Quietsleep runs the protocol that actually works: CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), the only first-line treatment recommended by the American College of Physicians.
What you get:
— Sleep window enforcer: tell it the time you must wake, and it gives you tonight's earliest in-bed time based on yesterday's actual sleep efficiency. Window grows when you're sleeping well, shrinks when you aren't. — Stimulus-control timer: if you're awake in bed >15 min, it nudges you to get up. No scary alarms, just a gentle haptic. — Wind-down checklist: 8 evidence-based items (dim lights, no screens, cool room) you tick once a night. — Cognitive worry dump: park tomorrow's anxieties in writing before bed. Local, encrypted, deleted after 7 days. — Morning brief: one screen, three numbers — how long in bed, how many minutes awake, today's window. That's it. No score. No graphs. No streaks.
No account. No cloud. No tracking algorithm pretending to know your REM cycles from your phone on the nightstand. Just the science that works.

Why we built it
Sleep tracking apps stress out the people who need help most. A March 2026 study (Frontiers in Digital Health, U Oregon) found insomniacs using sleep apps reported MORE worry about sleep, not less. The clinical term is 'orthosomnia' — sleep made worse by tracking. CBT-I works but it's gatekept behind expensive therapi…
What makes it different
Quietsleep is the only sleep app that refuses to display a sleep score, sleep graph, sleep stage breakdown, or any historical comparison whatsoever. It runs the validated CBT-I protocol (sleep restriction + stimulus control + cognitive restructuring) as a deterministic local rules engine, never accesses HealthKit, nev…
Who it's for
Anyone who wants honest tracking without a coach, a subscription, or a streak guilting them at 11pm.
In one line: Sleep coach that refuses to score you.
