What Solostack does

Solostack is a 1-person business operating system for solo founders, indie hackers, freelancers, and consultants: invoicing, time tracking, expense capture, quarterly tax estimation, and a simple project board — in one app, on one phone, with one calm screen for today.

What's in v1:

— Today screen: invoices due, overdue, expenses captured this week, hours tracked, MTD revenue, MTD expenses, runway months. — Clients + projects: a simple two-level hierarchy. — Invoicing: one-tap from a time-tracked block or hand-entered amount. PDF generated on device. Status (sent / paid / overdue) with manual mark. — Time tracker: start/stop a project timer; rounds to 15-min increments. — Expenses: photo a receipt, OCR (on-device Vision) the total, tag it deductible. — Quarterly tax estimator: enter your state + filing status; Solostack projects safe-harbor 110%-of-last-year (or 90%-current-year, whichever lower) and shows your next quarterly due date. — Mileage log: tap-to-start drive, GPS distance (with permission), IRS-rate (free) calculation.

Free. Optional Solostack Pro ($14.99/mo) adds Stripe/Square sync, multi-currency invoicing, recurring invoices, and the year-end Schedule C / 1040-ES export.

Why we built it

50M+ solo entrepreneurs globally (Statista). Existing tools are point-solutions: QuickBooks for accounting, FreshBooks for invoicing, Harvest for time, MileIQ for mileage, TaxJar for sales tax. The integrated 1-person OS at $15-30/mo doesn't yet exist on iOS at scale.

What makes it different

Solostack is the only iOS app that bundles invoicing + time + expenses + mileage + quarterly tax estimator in one calm Today screen. QuickBooks is overkill; FreshBooks doesn't have mileage or quarterly tax; Bonsai exists but is desktop-first and weak on the phone.
